Dr. Harris, why shouldn’t I eat all of the Halloween candy??

Lots of reasons! Livestrong.com lists the effects of candy on the body as: weight gain, reduced nutrient intake, increased risk of disease, and increased risk of tooth decay-our personal favorite!

When you eat too much sugar, the bacteria that causes cavities multiplies and causes more damage to your teeth. Specific types of candy like caramel, taffy and other chewy candies stick to teeth, eroding the enamel and  leading to decay.

But not to worry! You can bring the candy that you have wisely decided not to eat to our office and we will pay you $1 for each pound! We’ll also give $1 per pound to your school PTA. Come see us through November 9th at 920 South Batesville Road and turn your candy into cash!
